How to Manage Stress at Work

  • Address the problem – if your stress is due to a bad relationship with a co-worker or supervisor, than arrange a meeting to discuss how you can resolve the problem.
  • Set realistic goals – sometimes our stress is due to over committing.  Try not to schedule too much in one day.
  • Keep a positive attitude – one thing you can control is yourself.  Responding to situations in a positive way can help reduce stress.
  • Exercise – start a regular exercise routine.  Exercise releases hormones that relieve stress and promote a sense of well-being.
