What Questions Should I Ask in an Interview?

San Antonio Career Coach | Business Coaching | Personal CoachingYou are so excited that you have been asked to interview for a position you applied for recently. Now you need to prepare for that interview.  Your chances of being offered the job is greater if you have a good interview.  The key to a good interview is preparation.  One way to show the employer you have prepared for the interview and you are interested in the company and the position is to ask several questions during the interview.  Here are some tips for asking questions during your interview.

  • Ask detail information about the position and what skills would make the candidate most successful.
  • Ask why there is a need for the position.  This will give you insight to potential problems with the position.
  • Ask about the company environment and culture.  This will help you determine if you are a good fit for the company.
  • Ask about the company’s goals for the next five years.
  • Don’t ask about salary and benefits in your first interview.
  • Ask what are the next steps in the interview process or you can just ask for the job.

Job interviews are stressful but if you are prepared, you will be more relaxed, and be successful in having a good interview, and landing the job!
